Carrie Torgersen

Carrie Torgersen has devoted 25 years to the Utah Center for Rural Health at Southern Utah University, where she serves as the Assistant Director of Healthcare Workforce Development. She leads programs like Utah Health Scholars, Rural Graduate Healthcare Rotations, 3RNET and the Sevier County CHW program that address critical gaps in healthcare access and training across rural Utah. Under her guidance, the Center has expanded opportunities for aspiring healthcare professionals. Passionate about improving rural health, Carrie is committed to recruiting, training, and retaining skilled healthcare workers to ensure vibrant, healthy communities.
